Create a Listing (Product)

How to create a listing as a platform user

Definition

The listing deposit refers to the process of publishing a Product listing on the platform, enabling vendors to offer a single physical item for sale at a fixed reference price. Buyers can then purchase the item directly online or contact the vendor beforehand.

To deposit a listing, users must be registered and logged into the platform. The Log In and Register options must be utilized to gain access to this feature.

In a non-switch platform configuration, only vendors can create listings.

Triggering the listing creation workflow

To understand how this step is reached during the listing process creation, refer to the Rendering Type Selection (Commoditized) section in the documentation.

An automatic translation is set up by default. Any non-manually translated fields are automatically translated into the platform's other languages, unless the vendor enters their own translation for a given language (language selector at the top of the form).

✓ Click Continue to proceed to Step 2 of 3.

Step 3 of 3 — Attributes & Address of the listing

Set your attributes

Attributes provide an additional layer of information to describe a listing. They are structured, searchable entities that are associated with specific categories. The available attributes may vary depending on the category selected for a listing. A "*" symbol displayed on the right side of an attribute field indicates that the attribute is mandatory. For detailed instructions on creating and managing attributes, refer to the Listing Attributes Management section.

Set the adress of the listing

The Address section allows the vendor to provide the location where the item is located / can be picked up. The following details are expected:

Field
Required

Country (dropdown)

City

ZIP Code

Street Number

Street Name

If the full address is not mandatory on the listing, the user can click the arrow icon to hide the ZIP, Number, and Street fields.

Confirm Address checks the information and displays the location on the map.

Publishing the listing

At the conclusion of the listing deposit process, the user must check "I accept the Terms and Conditions" and select either:

  • Publish your listing

  • Save as a draft — creates the listing without publishing it; it is marked as Hidden in the user's dashboard.

Show a listing on the platform

The user can review the listing information entered through their dashboard.

Path: Dashboard > Listings > [Listing name] > Presentation

Update a listing

During the listing deposit process, the user can update the listing's information by clicking "Back to step X", which redirects to the previous step to edit the previously entered information.

Languages management

The vendor can also update the listing's translations manually via the language icon. The user selects the desired language from the list of available languages. Any field not manually translated remains automatically translated by default.

Once the listing deposit process is complete, additional settings can be managed through the vendor dashboard — see the related article: Edit a Listing (Product).

Delete a listing

Users cannot delete a listing during the listing deposit process, as it is not yet published — they can, however, interrupt the deposit process.

A published listing can be deleted through the vendor's listing dashboard — see: Edit a Listing (Product).
